CONSTRUCTION SURVEYOR – REGIONAL

ABOUT THE ROLE

We’re also recruiting Construction Surveyors for projects across Regional Western Australia. These roles focus on major infrastructure, mining, civil construction, and remote operational environments where logistical planning, autonomy, and resilience are key.
Regional work often includes long-term project assignments, FIFO or DIDO arrangements, and exposure to large-scale engineering programs.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

PROJECT MANAGEMENT & COORDINATION

  • Coordinate survey activities to meet project scope, timelines, and budgets.
  • Ensure effective data management for accessibility and compliance.
  • Provide technical guidance to internal teams and clients.

COMPLIANCE WITH HSQE STANDARDS

  • Adhere to all health, safety, quality, and environmental requirements.
  • Implement project-specific SWMS and support a strong safety culture.
  • Conduct toolbox meetings and participate in monthly department meetings.
  • Assist with investigations, reporting, and corrective actions.

BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT

  • Support client relationships and identify new opportunities in regional markets.
  • Provide insights into emerging trends across regional sectors.

OPERATIONAL SUPPORT

  • Follow departmental best-practice procedures and templates.
  • Support alignment with RM Surveys’ Integrated Management System (IMS).

EQUIPMENT & INVENTORY MANAGEMENT

  • Maintain equipment in safe working condition.
  • Assist with calibration and reporting service requirements.

ADMINISTRATIVE SUPPORT

  • Complete timesheets accurately.
  • Engage in performance and development reviews.
  • Contribute to improvements across regional operations.

ABOUT YOU

  • Recognised surveying qualification relevant to construction or engineering.
  • Experience within Construction Surveying.
  • Strong proficiency in modern surveying software and digital workflows.
  • Proven commitment to safety, quality, and responsible onsite practice.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively.

DESIRABLE BUT NOT ESSENTIAL

  • Experience in remote or regional environments.
  • Exposure to major civil, resources, or infrastructure projects.
  • Current White Card and driver’s licence.
