Peter Marcello is the Chief Executive Officer of RM Surveys, bringing a wealth of business and commercial leadership experience across the mining, energy, infrastructure, and manufacturing sectors. Before joining RM Surveys, Peter held senior executive roles including Chief Financial Officer at Fuelfix and Fremantle Octopus Group, along with key finance leadership positions at Perenti, MRC Global, and Chevron. His career has been defined by a strong focus on business and commercial strategy, with deep expertise in operational finance, head office management, and enterprise transformation. At RM Surveys, Peter is leading the business into its next chapter—driving growth through innovation, developing future-ready talent, and maintaining a strong client service ethos. He is passionate about preserving RM Surveys’ collaborative culture while positioning the company for long-term success in an evolving spatial and surveying landscape.

General Managers

Our General Managers oversee operations across diverse sectors, aligning teams and resources to deliver excellence, foster growth, and uphold the company’s values and long-term goals.

As General Manager of Strategy, Kyle Downes leads strategic direction at RM Surveys, specialising in business growth, system integration, and organisational design. With a background spanning from Survey Assistant to senior executive roles, he has driven major initiatives including ISO accreditation, ERP implementation, and governance reform. Kyle serves as a Director and Company Secretary at RM Surveys and sits on the boards of Surveyors Australia and the Industry Training Alliance, contributing to finance committees for both. He holds an MBA from UNSW, a Bachelor of Business, and a Diploma of Surveying. Outside work, Kyle enjoys martial arts, cooking, and travel—bringing energy and curiosity to everything he does.

Bjorn (Bernie) Bernhardt is the General Manager of Business Development at RM Surveys, bringing over 20 years of expertise in infrastructure and commercial construction across Australia and Germany. Recognised as a leader in spatial data led solutions, Bernie specialises in integrating spatial and technical solutions to enhance project efficiency. His extensive large-scale project experience, award-winning innovations, and industry leadership make him a key figure in advancing RM Surveys' growth. As a client-focused strategist and keynote speaker, Bernie is dedicated to driving business expansion through innovative spatial solutions and strong industry partnerships.

Dane Blower is the General Manager of People & Culture at RM Surveys, bringing over two decades of experience across mining, engineering, and construction surveying in both Australia and the UK. A long-standing leader at RM Surveys since 2012, Dane has held key roles including Operations Manager, Director, and is now head of People & Culture. With a strong technical foundation as a senior surveyor and deep expertise in managing complex projects, Dane now drives RM Surveys’ people strategy — championing workforce development, leadership growth, and a values-led culture. His industry insight and people-first approach continue to strengthen RM Surveys’ reputation as both an employer of choice and a trusted partner in delivering complex spatial solutions.

Bennett Tunbridge is the General Manager of Operations at RM Surveys, with 19 years of experience delivering complex spatial solutions across construction, infrastructure, mining, and cadastral surveying. A Licensed Surveyor and long-time leader within the business, Bennett has held key roles including Senior Licensed Surveyor, Specialist Projects Lead and Senior Engineering Surveyor. As a shareholder of RM Surveys Bennett is also a Director on the RM Surveys Board. Bennett brings advanced expertise in cadastral, mining tenure and subdivision surveys, construction & engineering surveys, geodetic control surveys, high precision monitoring surveys, GNSS and terrestrial surveying techniques and processing. He leads strategic project planning, HSQE oversight, and client engagement on multidisciplinary sites. As General Manager, Bennett plays a critical role in operational delivery, aligning technical excellence with business efficiency to support RM Surveys’ ongoing growth and client success.

Managers

Stacey Fick is the Administrative Manager at RM Surveys, responsible for overseeing office operations, supporting internal systems, and coordinating key business functions. Since joining RM Surveys in 2020, she has progressed from Administrative Assistant to Administrative Coordinator, and now leads the administration team with a focus on efficiency and team support. Stacey brings a strong background in logistics, transport coordination, and business administration, having previously worked across sectors including metals recycling and commercial transport. Known for her reliability, attention to detail, and approachable manner, Stacey plays a vital role in keeping RM Surveys running smoothly behind the scenes.

Luke Howell is the Manager of Dimensional Control & Metrology at RM Surveys, with nearly two decades of experience delivering specialised spatial solutions across engineering, manufacturing and scientific environments. Starting as a Technician Surveyor in 2005, Luke has progressed through senior roles to lead RM Surveys’ specialist engineering division. He is known for his innovation in precision methodologies and his commitment to delivering technically rigorous, fit-for-purpose outcomes. Luke’s expertise ensures clients receive accurate, reliable data to maintain critical tolerances and support project success.

Mat Armstrong is the Manager of Construction & Engineering Surveying at RM Surveys, with nearly two decades of experience. Mat oversees our technically skilled team of engineering surveyors in all range of construction projects requiring complex spatial expertise and coordination across major infrastructure, Government, Defence, and all range of commercial and industrial projects. Starting with RM Surveys in 2006, Mat has built deep expertise in large scale construction projects, clash detection, site coordination, control surveys & monitoring applications. Now leading the construction and engineering team, Mat oversees large-scale projects with a focus on quality, safety, and project efficiency. His strengths in client management, logistics, and job planning ensure RM Surveys delivers consistent, high-quality outcomes across complex and technically demanding environments.

Banesh Boodhoo is the Manager of the Cadastral & Property Department at RM Surveys and a Senior Licensed Surveyor specialising in cadastral surveying and property development. Since 2012, he has managed a wide range of residential and commercial subdivision projects, with expertise spanning cadastral boundary surveys, feature surveys, and plan lodgements. Known for his precise documentation and client-focused approach, Banesh oversees end-to-end subdivision delivery — from fieldwork to approvals — while also managing project estimating, job costing, and stakeholder coordination. His practical knowledge and clear communication help guide clients through the complexities of land development with confidence.

Matthew Dowell is the Manager of RM Surveys’ Geospatial and Digital Department, bringing over 12 years of hands-on experience in laser scanning, spatial data, and digital innovation. Starting as a Survey Technician in 2013, Matthew has progressed through specialist and leadership roles, now overseeing the delivery of advanced geospatial solutions across the AEC and mining sectors. Matthew blends technical expertise with hands-on leadership, guiding his team in applying the latest geospatial and visualisation technologies. His expertise spans high-accuracy laser scanning, GIS and data visualisation, and custom innovative solutions, ensuring RM Surveys stays at the forefront of digital surveying.

Peter Ashworth is the Health, Safety, Quality, and Environment (HSQE) Manager at RM Surveys, bringing over 18 years of cross-sector experience spanning mining, construction, manufacturing, logistics, and healthcare. Peter holds a Bachelor of Science in Health and Safety and combines technical expertise with a practical, systems-driven approach to risk management. Peter has held senior HSEQ roles at leading organisations including Serco, Gemco Rail, Downer EDI, Monadelphous, and BHP. He is skilled in ISO certification, WHS legislation, ICAM investigations, internal audits, and return-to-work programs. At RM Surveys, Peter leads HSQE initiatives with a strong focus on proactive culture development, legislative compliance, and continuous improvement, ensuring the safety and wellbeing of all employees across the business.

Nathan Hull is the Manager of North West Operations at RM Surveys and a Licensed Land Surveyor with over 15 years of experience across Australia and the UK. Based in Broome, Nathan oversees surveying operations throughout the North West, delivering cadastral, engineering, and infrastructure solutions in some of Western Australia’s most remote and complex environments. Before joining RM Surveys in 2020, Nathan held senior roles in both regional and metropolitan areas, including Geelong, Melbourne, and London, gaining diverse experience in rail, urban development, and construction. With broad capability in cadastral surveying, construction set-out, and stakeholder engagement, Nathan brings practical leadership to regional delivery.

Team Leads & Coordinators

Bridging strategy and execution, Team Leads and Coordinators guide field teams, manage workflows, and support efficient project delivery through organisation, communication, and technical expertise.

Rhyce Murphy is a skilled Underground Asset Mapping Manager at RM Surveys, bringing extensive experience in utility locating and subsurface mapping across mid-to-large-scale projects. With a strong background in project coordination, service locating, and non-destructive excavation, he ensures seamless spatial delivery of what cannot be seen to stakeholders. Rhyce is dedicated to safety, efficiency, and innovation, overseeing HSQE compliance and leading underground asset mapping teams. His expertise in project management, cost estimation, and consultation enables RM Surveys to deliver precise and reliable spatial solutions, supporting infrastructure and construction projects with confidence and accuracy.

Jason Wieman is Construction Coordinator at RM Surveys, specialising in mid-size construction projects across Western Australia. With 13 years at RM Surveys and a Bachelor of Surveying, Jason brings deep practical experience in managing survey requirements across complex, multi-site developments. He has contributed to a wide range of projects including Butler Train Station, the West Coast Eagles Training Facility, and multiple aged care and education builds. Known for his approachable leadership style and clear communication, Jason works closely with clients and site teams to ensure survey coordination supports smooth, successful project delivery.

David Winters is a Senior Geospatial Surveyor at RM Surveys, bringing years of expertise in project management, geospatial solutions, and digital innovation. With a deep understanding of small to large-scale projects, he specialises in terrestrial laser scanning, control surveys, aerial capture and digital feature extraction. David plays a key role in project coordination, client liaison, and site supervision, ensuring seamless delivery of accurate, high-quality spatial data. His expertise extends to HSQE coordination, subcontractor management, and mentoring. A Curtin University graduate, David is committed to precision, efficiency, and driving innovative surveying solutions for RM Surveys' clients.

With 13 years of industry experience, Gary Lambert is a highly skilled project manager and senior surveyor with expertise across large-scale infrastructure, mining, and energy projects. Holding a Bachelor of Surveying from Otago University and an MBA from the Australian Institute of Business, Gary combines technical precision with strategic leadership. He has led surveying operations on major projects such as the Kwinana Waste to Energy Plant, SEA 1180 Offshore Patrol Vessels, and South Flank Rail Machines. Dedicated to project efficiency, safety, and client success, Gary plays a key role in delivering innovative spatial solutions at RM Surveys.

Olivia Stoch is the Digital Communications Coordinator at RM Surveys, leading the company’s communications and brand activity. With over a decade of experience in marketing and communications, Olivia works closely with leadership and agency partners to support business priorities and employer branding. She also contributes to campaign planning, content strategy, and internal communications processes that promote alignment and engagement across the company. Her structured, strategic approach helps ensure RM Surveys’ voice is clear, consistent, and aligned with its values and goals.

Chloe Detloff is the Human Resources Coordinator at RM Surveys, supporting recruitment, onboarding, and people initiatives across the business. With experience in legal, industrial, and healthcare environments, Chloe brings a broad understanding of HR processes and a strong focus on employee experience. Chloe holds a Bachelor of Commerce in Human Resources Management and Public Relations from Curtin University. Known for her organised approach and collaborative mindset, she works closely with managers and team members to support RM Surveys’ growth and culture from the inside out.
