Lakeside Joondalup Shopping Centre Expansion

A major expansion has begun at one of Perth’s busiest shopping centres. RM Surveys has been appointed Project Surveyors for the Lakeside Joondalup Shopping Centre expansion project, a $300 million redevelopment being carried out by Lend Lease.

The redevelopment will increase the size of the shopping centre from 71,000 square metres to 96,000 square metres, which will make Lakeside Joondalup the biggest shopping centre in Western Australia. The expanded centre will include a new two-level, 12,000 square metre Myer department store, a new casual dining precinct, approximately 95 national and local retailers and 5,000 car spaces.

As part of the redevelopment, Station Square will be transformed into an active hub with a vibrant new al-fresco dining precinct, improving connectivity to the existing rail and bus interchange. Construction is expected to take approximately two years with completion prior to Christmas 2014.
